It’s Time to “KonMari!”

You’ve heard of Marie Kondo, right? She’s the Japanese organizing consultant who’s inspiring people to choose joy and complete their tidying adventures. She’s written multiple books on the subject and has her extremely popular show on Netflix called “Tidying up with Marie Kondo.” I like her. I’m drawn to her happiness and serenity for some reason. So I’m jumping on this bandwagon along with millions of others all over the world. The “KonMari Method” places great importance on being mindful, introspective, and optimistic. Who wouldn’t want to feel this way all the time?

Step one is to commit to tidying up. Well, I can say with confidence that we took that step today. We purchased a smaller storage unit, and we have given ourselves 30 days to go through the old unit, and downsize to the new one. We’re also going to clear out our garage, which has been in a state of disarray since we moved in in 2010. Oh, and we also bought a Dyson. You can’t do a good cleaning without a capable vacuum. Ours was no longer sucking (which is not good when that is its only job!). Wish us luck! I’ll post more pictures as we go along.
